The Linguist List

The Linguist List is a free online resource in the academic field of linguistics. It provides a forum for linguists to discuss linguistic issues, find jobs, PhD programs, exchange information, and acess other resources.

Linguistic Society of America (LSA)

The Linguistic Society of America (LSA) is a scholarly organization that promotes the scientific study of language. The LSA is open to anyone interested in linguistics, including students, faculty, and linguists working in government, industry, and non-profit organizations.

CSAAL (Center for the Study of African American Language)

The Center’s mission is to foster and integrate scientific research on language in African American communities and application of that research in educational, social, and cultural realms. The Center has a commitment to serving as a resource for communities by furnishing information and providing training to students and educators who address language- and dialect-related issues.

WALS Online (World Atlas of Language Structures)

The World Atlas of Language Structures (WALS) is a large database of structural (phonological, grammatical, lexical) properties of languages gathered from descriptive materials (such as reference grammars).

Center for Language Sciences

The Center for Language Sciences (CLS) is an organization at the University of Rochester that brings together faculty, postdocs, and graduate students who conduct research on any aspect of human language as a vehicle for active interdisciplinary work.
