2025
- Congratulations to Dr. Noll on her receipt of the American Psychological Foundation Gold Medal Award in Psychology, which recognizes impactful, innovative, and transformational work in psychology. Dr. Noll was awarded alongside legacy Executive Directors of Mt. Hope Family Center, Dr. Dante Cicchetti and Dr. Sheree Toth. Cheers to Mt. Hope!
- Congratulations to Noll Lab Research Assistant Marwaan Maxamuud for receiving the Meliora Fellowship to support his summer research on child sexual abuse, biological embedding, and cognitive development. His research will be mentored by Dr. Jennie Noll & graduate student Katy Elliot!
- Dr. Hannah Swerbenski, Noll Lab postdoc, received the Outstanding Dissertation Award from the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (APSAC)!
- Dr. Noll’s recently published article inĀ JAMA PediatricsĀ demonstrates a primary prevention program significantly reduces population-level child sexual abuse. This publication has received significant media attention based on its public health implications, such as this news story at Medical Press.
- The Rochester Research Resilience Center (PIs: Jennie Noll & Kathi Heffner) hosted a Science to Policy Training to support researchers in leveraging their science towards public impact

2024
- The Noll Lab welcomed two new members, PhD student Katy Elliot and Postdoctoral Research Associate, Hannah Swerbenski!
- Mt. Hope Family Center was selected as a member of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) Implementation and Transformational Change Community. This is a prestigious honor that recognizes organizations with exemplary dedication to trauma-informed, anti-racist approaches. Dr. Noll & Dr. Swerbenski served on the Mt. Hope NCTSN Team and supported the center’s successful application.
- The Noll Lab formed an exciting new collaboration with Mission Kids, a Pennsylvania based Child Advocacy Center. Our collaboration applies community-based participatory research approaches to develop an online Child Sexual Abuse Prevention training program for parents and caregivers.
