Biography
Dr. Jessica Shaw received her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering with a focus on laser-plasma accelerators from the University of California Los Angeles before joining the research staff at the University of Rochester’s Laboratory for Laser Energetics as a Scientist. Dr. Shaw’s research interests are in the field of experimental short-pulse laser-plasma interactions. Her research encompasses plasma-based Raman amplification of ultrashort-pulse lasers, the fundamental physics of laser-plasma accelerators, and the applications of the beams produced by those accelerators.
