Graduate student Mehreen Sultana helps to organize “Wonderful Women in STEM” conference for high school students
October 3, 2018
Mehreen Sultana, a graduate student in the neutrino research group, recently helped to organize a conference for female high school students interested in STEM fields, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The event took place at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, where Mehreen works on the MINERvA experiment, studying how neutrinos lose energy in interactions with nuclei in inelastic interactions. Mehreen led a session for students analyzing data on neutrino interactions similar to those in her thesis research.
Mehreen’s article describing the event was recently featured in Fermilab’s newsfeed.
