Research Overview

Using both the social identity framework and the biopsychosocial (BPS) model of challenge and threat, I developed a scale that looks into how individuals perceive their social identities. Some identities are resourceful and advantageous while others are demanding and difficult to overcome. I use a multi-method approach by measuring individuals perceptions of their identity, behaviors associated with those perceptions as well as their ‘under the skin’ responses, through autonomic physiology.
