Andrew Polec was born in Philadelphia. He graduated from the University of Rochester after a Kauffman Entrepreneurial Year in 2012.
He most recently originated the role of Strat in Bat Out of Hell The Musical for which he won the Joe Allen "Best West End Debut Award". Other notable roles include Matt in The Fantasticks (off-Broadway), John Andre in The General from America (Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival), Troilus in Troilus and Cressida (Bread Loaf Acting Ensemble), Young Scrooge in A Christmas Carol and Peter in Ivanov (Trinity Repertory Company), and Max in Where the Wild Things Are (Providence Fringe Festival). Other productions include: The Tooth of Crime, Pericles, Twelfth Night, In the Blood, The Hunchback of Seville, Melena, and Es Mentira.
Albums include Ben Fold’s Presents: University A Capella, Welcome to Khat House, and Bat Out of Hell The Musical OCR. Veteran MTV watchers might recognize him from a featured role in SuperMade.
Andrew holds an MFA from the Brown University/Trinity Repertory program and a BA in English and Music from the University of Rochester.
