Matthew J Keenan

Matthew J Keenan (Scenic Designer) was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland. He is a graduate of the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin and a proud company member of both The Keegan Theatre in Washington DC and the Classical Theater Company, in Houston TX. Matthew began scenic designing in 2014 with Keegan Theatres production of Hair, and has since become their resident set designer and lead carpenter. He is delighted to be working at The University of Rochester International Theater Program on this production. Some previous set designs include; The Revolutionists (Prologue Theater Company), Once (American University), Peer Gynt, The Marriage Of Figaro (The Classical Theater Company), Cinderella: A Salsa Fairy Tale (Imagination Stage), Top Girls, Chicago, American Idiot, Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, The Undeniable Sound Of Right Now, An Irish Carol, The Lonesome West, The Bridges Of Madison County, Parade, Sweat, Legally Blonde, N, and Shakespeare In Love (Keegan Theatre Company).
