Research Interests

I study the cultural, religious, political and artistic exchanges between Muslims and Christians in medieval Iberia, focusing on liturgy, polemical writing, conversion, translation, architecture, and material culture as mechanisms of dialogue, conflict, and transformation.

Bio

Career Goals

I aspire to become a professor, teacher, museum curator, or pursue any path that allows me to think, write, and share ideas about medieval Iberia. I am passionate about communicating history to broad audiences, whether through guiding tours, creating museum exhibits, or producing films and media on historical topics.

Life Before URochester

I completed a Master of Theological Studies at Boston College, where I spent two years in Boston. Prior to that, I finished my undergraduate studies in Burgos, Spain.

What do you like best about Rochester?

I enjoy the beautiful natural spaces around New York, especially the parks that offer opportunities for recreation. In my free time, I like playing tennis with my wife and going hiking.
