Research Interests
I am interested in looking at the way occult sciences and magic were studied and perceived in Western Europe and the Ottoman Empire throughout the late medieval and early modern period. I am further interested in how the uses of occult sciences and magic in both societies then affected Western European stereotypes of the Middle East.
