Nikolaus Wasmoen Accepts Two New Positions
Congratulations to Nick Wasmoen (PhD 2016), who has recently accepted the position of Visiting Assistant Professor in Digital Scholarship and English at the University of Buffalo. As part of this three-year, full-time appointment, Nick will spearhead the creation and implementation of a new Digital Humanities curriculum, while also teaching his own DH workshops and related courses.
The appointment allows Nick to build upon the work that he began earlier this year under the Digital Scholarship Pathways Pilot Project (and for which he was co-awarded a $10,000 seed grant).
Concurrently with the new Digital Scholarship position, Nick will also continue in his recently-acquired role as Education Director for the Association for Documentary Editing (also a three-year position), in which capacity he administers an annual week-long Institute for the Editing of Historical Documents, in addition to a number of collaborative workshops and advanced training seminars.
Nick served as a project assistant at the Blake Archive while here at the University of Rochester, and completed a dissertation on "Editorial Modernism" under the direction of Morris Eaves and Bette London.
Best of luck to Nick as he takes on these exciting new roles!
