PhotoROC Outreach Activities

Museum Interactions. Our researchers interact with the Rochester Museum and Science Center through student involvement with National Chemistry Week activities. These interactions are designed to encourage and enhance participation of young people in STEM related disciplines by giving them hands-on experience with chemistry experimentation.

Industrial and national lab internships. We have attracted several industrial and national lab partners interested in our mission and eager to participate in some of the PhotoROC programs. Colleagues from these organizations will give technical seminars to our students. PhotoROC students and postdocs may also undertake short internships in these participant’s laboratories.
