The Fall 2022 Chemistry Awards

Congratulations to all of our students who won graduate and undergraduate awards!
The Junior Scholar Award recognizes undergraduates in their junior year who have showed outstanding accomplishments and promise for a professional career in chemistry. Congratulations to Loren Cardini, Ellen Irving, Daniel Nakamura, Xijie Wu, and Zeyuan Zhu!
The Catherine Block Memorial Fund Prize was established in memory of Catherine Block, an exceptional chemistry student here at the University. It is awarded each year to a woman in her junior year in recognition of her outstanding ability and accomplishments in science. Nominations are based on departmental recommendation and the recipient is chosen by the dean. Congratulations to Xijue Wu!
The W.D. Walters Teaching Award recognizes outstanding teaching by graduate teaching assistants. Congratulations to Shannon Cooney, Erica Craddock, Caycie Malyk, Aurodeep Panda, Chari Peter, and Patrycia Zybura!
The Outstanding Graduate Student Award was established at the request of an alumnus who wanted to recognize excellence in research, leadership, and service by a senior graduate student. Winners show a passion for learning, steadfast dedication in the lab, and a commitment to bettering their community. Congratulations to Maria Camila Aguilera and Eric Schreiber!
