Hi! I’m Sam Laitman, an undergraduate at U of R, majoring in chemical engineering. Ever since I learned about the periodic table in elementary school, I’ve been interested in chemical reactions and the microscopic nature of the universe. Later in high school, I learned about the field of electrochemistry and developed an interest in materials. Naturally, the Thorarinsdottir Lab has been the perfect place to pursue my research interests at U of R! Outside of the lab, I’m actively involved in my fraternity, and you can find me exploring the city of Rochester or going to concerts.
