Hey, I’m Jonathan! I am proudly from Chicago, Illinois, and I am a Mexican-American, first generation student. My interest in Chemistry developed my first-year of undergrad general chemistry class. I decided to move from my social science interests and take a few science classes; although Chemistry took the most work for me to understand, it also inspired me the most! Getting experience in lab courses, learning different lab techniques, and doing synthesis for the first time excited me to continue to be in the lab environment and learn about the principles that guide reactions. In my free time, I enjoy when I take airplane flights to look out of the window of a plane, playing the trumpet, producing and listening to music, and biking downtown at night with friends.
