Azina was born and raised in Qazvin, Iran. She pursued an undergraduate degree in Materials Engineering at Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, graduating in 2018. After graduation, she moved to the United States to pursue graduate studies in Chemistry. Azina joined the Jurca lab at the University of Central Florida, where she focused on the rational design of hierarchical monolith-based catalysts. In 2024, she earned her PhD and then joined the Thorarinsdottir lab at the University of Rochester as a postdoctoral associate.
