Hello, my name is Anyesh. I was born in India but shifted to CA as a baby and grew up in Palo Alto. I finished middle school and high school in Mumbai after moving back to India later. Chemistry and biology had always been subjects of interest, but the sheer diversity of chemistry convinced me to elect it as my major. In 2022, I graduated with a dual B.S.-M.S. degree in chemistry from IISER Bhopal. After working as a project intern in the Hydrogen department of JSW Energy Ltd. for 6 months, I decided to expand my experience in inorganic materials chemistry and explore its applications towards energy storage and environmental sustainability by joining Agnes’ research group as a Ph.D. student at U of R. Outside academics, I am a huge sportsperson and football (soccer) fan. I enjoy playing almost any sport in my spare time. I also love music and playing instruments like the guitar, cajon or ukelele. Huge food person too, I can eat a lot.
