Chris Jones

Chris is a seventh-year graduate student in the Nilsson Group. His research focuses on discovering the scope of rippled β-sheet formation upon adjusting the amino acid sequence pattern of specific amphipathic peptides. He collaborates with the Cristiano Dias group at the New Jersey Institute of Technology and the Edward Egelman group at the University of Virginia to further understand the impact of amino acid sequence on the structure of peptide fibrils using molecular dynamic simulations and cryo-EM analysis, respectively. In his other project, he is designing a display strategy to functionalize supramolecular peptide scaffolds with functional proteins for biomaterial and biomedicine applications.
