What do you like to do when not in the department?

Play Minecraft, play with my cats, cook, and crochet!

A Rochester must?

Dogtown. $5 bucks a pop for the best hot dogs in the city, each is almost a full meal in and of itself.

Feast/meal of the times? Details, please!

My favorite meal to make and eat is a spicy blush sauce with cavatappi and spicy Italian sausage. One and a third cups olive oil, two 6-oz cans of tomato paste, one third to one half cup of gochujang, a bunch of green onions, and a head of garlic minced. Cook ‘til the oil is a nice deep red. Then add a quart of heavy cream, four tsp red pepper flakes, two tsp Italian seasoning, six tsp dried basil, whisk ‘til smooth and bring to a simmer. Finally, two cups of grated parmesan added slowly. Cook the sausage on the side and add at the end along with the green parts of the green onion, serve over cavatappi.
