Joanne Bernardi Awarded Research Grant for Japan Travel
Former Humanities Center internal fellow receives Northeast Asia Council Funding to complete book on director Juzo Itami

Joanne Bernardi (Modern Languages and Cultures), who completed her internal fellowship during the 2022-2023 academic year, has received a short-term research award for travel to Japan this summer from the Northeast Asia Council of the Association for Asian Studies for the completion of her book manuscript, Films for the Living: The Cinema of Jūzō Itami.
