Free Student Rush Ticket Policy & Procedures

Eligibility

Free student tickets are available to University of Rochester students (both graduate and undergraduate) under the following conditions:

  • Students provide a valid UR student ID at the point of sign-up
  • Tickets remain subject to availability/unsold at the time of ticket distribution

How to get Tickets

Students wishing to avail themselves of free student “rush” tickets for Theatre Program productions should:

  1. Visit the in-person box office (which opens 1 hour before curtain time)
  2. Place their names on the “student rush” ticket list held by the Box Office Manager (or other designated staff member)
  3. Provide a valid UR Student ID as requested
  4. Return to retrieve any available ticket at the time requested of them by the Box Office Manager (or other designated staff member)

Please note:

  • Tickets will only be distributed to students who are present at the appointed time when student rush tickets are distributed
  • Students will not be allowed to retrieve tickets for friends (or on behalf of other students who are not physically present)
  • Tickets will be distributed in the order of sign-up on the student “rush” ticket list
  • Failure to be present at the ticket distribution time may cause tickets to be distributed to students lower on the list who are present at the appointed time
  • Since priority is given to any paying patron (student or otherwise), guaranteed student tickets are always available for purchase at the online Theatre Program box office or at the in-person box office in SPAC/Todd (as applicable)
