Research Overview
My research broadly focuses on understanding the psychological processes that shape close relationships. Specifically, I examine how social exchange, emotion, and sexuality help explain why some relationships thrive while others struggle. Using dyadic and longitudinal approaches, I study how partners’ thoughts, feelings, and behaviors combine to shape relationship dynamics, and how these patterns unfold both in the moment and over time.
