Research Overview
My work centers on positive processes and emotions, with the ultimate goal of strengthening well-being for all kinds of people. Specifically, I hone in on emotions, such as awe and pride, and processes, such as prosociality, to explore how to maximize the many components of well-being (e.g., happiness, meaning, psychological richness). Some of my work focuses on the special experiences of parents, while other work focuses more broadly on people in general. I use a variety of methodological analyses, including multi-level modeling, meta-analysis, and thematic analysis.
