PSCI 280 Models and Computation in Political Economy

This course introduces political economy models and computational techniques to solve and/or numerically evaluate these models. Applications are drawn from models of voting, elections, and collective decision-making, international conflict, and economic policy-making. The course is meant to serve as a gentle introduction to scientific computing for students in political, economic, and other social sciences motivated through applications. It may also appeal to students well-versed in matters computational who are interested in applications in political economy.
