Description
In Borderland we meet people who have migrated to or from the borderland around the river Oder, which separates Germany and Poland. The film presents a series of miniature portraits of ordinary people on both sides of the river, whose lives have been shaped by the ever-changing nature of this and many other borders around the world.
About the Director
Andreas Voigt is known as an extraordinarily empathetic interviewer and director of long-term observational series, including the prize-winning Leipzig series (1987-2015). His numerous films have been screened at festivals globally.
