New Directions Symposium

The Frederick Douglass Institute presents a two-day symposium in which 12 scholars will discuss “New Directions” of research in the African diaspora on April 14 and 15 in the Hawkins-Carlson Room, Rush Rhees Library. The speakers’ topics include transracial adoption, trauma and victimization of African American youth, representation of black childhood, human relationally, and afro-pessimism as critique and/or praxis.
