Thomas Tucker awarded NSF grant
November 10, 2015
Professor and Chair Thomas Tucker has been awarded a three year National Science Foundation grant in the amount of $151,000 entitled Potential density, uniform boundedness, and points in special position.
He will use the grant to pursue research into the application of dynamics to the study of rational solutions to polynomial equations. The subject is commonly known as Diophantine equations, named after Diophantus of Alexandria, who studied them in the third century AD.
