Research Experience
January 2017-May 2018 Dr. Paul Gladen; Studies towards synthesis of citreamicin θ A and B through hexadehydro Diels Alder reaction as well as Sonogashira cross-coupling. Separately, I worked on total synthesis of xanthocercin A and its derivative methoxy-butesuperin B.
May 2016-September 2016 Dr. William Martin; Worked on palladium-catalyzed Sonogashira Coupling reactions of amine, amide, and aromatic nitro-derivatives to gain mechanistic insight.
Current Research
My research in the Paradine lab focuses on the development of ureas as a ligand platform for palladium catalysis, particularly for the discovery of versatile new chemical methods to construct sp3-rich heterocycles in a selective and efficient manner.
