Hannah Chhibber
Fly Food Technician
What is your current role in the biology department?
I make fruit-fly food for several labs in the department.
How would you describe our department and the people you work with?
The Department is a wonderful and diverse community of people. The people in the department are very welcoming, friendly, and helpful.
What is the most important thing that you’ve learned while working here?
I do not have a background in biology, so I'm constantly learning not just about the workings of my own job but also about the how the labs I work with function and what they are researching. It is all very interesting and I look forward to continuing to learn from the people around me.
How do you unwind when you’re not in the office?
I enjoy reading thrillers, watching documentaries, and spending time with my dogs.
What is one thing about yourself that you’d like more people to know?
I don't have a science background - my background is in history, archaeology, and museum studies.
